Deposits shouldn’t be an enterprise feature.

Shopify’s native deposits are Plus-only, and deposit apps typically price by your order volume. DepositDesk is built to be the dependable alternative: one flat price, and balance collection that runs itself.

One price, any volume

$29 a month whether you take ten deposits or a thousand. No order-value caps, no per-transaction fees, no surprise tiers.

Hands-off balance collection

Balances are charged automatically when they come due, with automatic retries when a card declines.

Safe by design

Shopify vaults the card and processes every charge through your existing gateway. Your customers’ card data never touches DepositDesk.

How it works

  1. 1

    Create a deposit plan

Pick a percentage or a fixed amount, then choose when the balance is due — a number of days after checkout, a set date, or on fulfillment.

  2. 2

    Customers choose it at checkout

A deposit option appears on your product page, and Shopify's own checkout shows the split — what's paid today and what's due later.

  3. 3

    The balance collects itself

Shopify saves the customer's card at checkout. When the balance comes due, DepositDesk charges it automatically — no invoices, no chasing.

Everything you need, nothing to babysit

  • Deposit plan builder

Percentage or fixed-amount deposits, with the balance due after a set number of days, on a calendar date, or when you fulfill the order.

  • Storefront widget

A theme app block you add to your product page from the theme editor — no code changes to your theme.

  • Automatic balance collection

When a balance comes due, DepositDesk charges the card saved at checkout automatically — no manual invoicing, no chasing customers.

  • Smart retries & customer emails

If a card declines, DepositDesk retries on a schedule and emails the customer a heads-up. If the retries run out, the order is flagged for you to follow up.

  • Deposit & balance dashboard

Every order's deposit and balance status in one place, re-checked against Shopify daily to catch anything that drifts.

  • Built on Shopify's payment vault

Card details are stored and charged by Shopify itself. DepositDesk never sees, stores, or touches a card number.

Made for made-to-order

Questions, answered

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No — that's the point. Shopify's built-in deposit feature is only available on Plus. DepositDesk brings deposits to any standard Shopify plan.

How does the balance get charged automatically?

When a customer checks out with a deposit, Shopify saves their card securely — with their permission — for the remaining balance. When that balance comes due, DepositDesk tells Shopify to charge the saved card. Everything runs through your existing Shopify checkout: DepositDesk never holds funds or card details.

What does my store need?

A supported payment gateway — Shopify Payments, PayPal Express, Stripe, or Adyen (Shopify's requirement for saved-card charges) — and a current theme: if you can add sections in Shopify's theme editor, you can add the deposit widget.

What happens if a customer's card declines?

DepositDesk retries the charge on a schedule — after 1, 3, and 7 days — and emails the customer a heads-up each time a charge doesn't go through. If every retry fails, the order is marked as needing attention in your dashboard and you're alerted so you can follow up.

What if an order is cancelled or refunded?

Cancel the order in Shopify as usual — DepositDesk sees the cancellation and stops the scheduled balance charge automatically. Deposits you choose to return are refunded from Shopify like any other payment, and whether a deposit is refundable stays your store's policy call.

Can customers pay a deposit with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay?

No — Shopify doesn't support those express-pay buttons on split payments, so the widget hides them when a deposit option is selected. Regular card checkout works normally, and the buttons come back for full-price purchases.

How does the 14-day free trial work?

Install DepositDesk and start the trial from the app — every feature is unlocked from day one, and you're only billed if you keep it past 14 days. If the trial ends and you don't subscribe, creating new deposit plans pauses, but every already-scheduled balance charge still runs on time. We never strand a payment you're owed.

Stop chasing balances.
